LMA Claims Committee (LMACC)
The role of the group is to provide leadership and direction for the Lloyd’s claims community and to advise the LMA Board on strategic claims matters. The TOR of the Committee can be found here .
The Chair is Peter McLoughlin, Renaissance Re.
LMACC's purpose
The LMACC exists to: Operate as an Exec Board for claims, requiring the membership to establish
policies and set out strategic objectives and priorities that support the delivery of
claims service excellence, whilst promoting and enhancing the brand,
performance and reputation of claims.
The LMACC’s vision: The LMACC’s ambition is to change the world’s perception of Lloyd’s claims,
becoming global leaders in claims service excellence.

Strategic Themes
The LMACC will undertake a programme of initiatives to meet the following
objectives, under the strategic themes of:
- Brand & Profile - Enhancing the brand, profile and pipeline of claims within the market, wider industry and with our value chain – to
promote the Lloyd’s claims service and the profession of claims to enhance the brand, the role of claims and the
talent pipeline.
- Digitalisation - Developing and influencing a digital and customer-centric claims operating model – revolutionising technology,
data and processes to enhance service, improve policyholder experience, reduce cost and enable the redeployment
of resources.
- Technical Performance - Enhancing the technical brand and reputation of claims – revolutionising practices and processes to enhance the
technical reputation of claims via high quality performance and service delivery.
- Talent & Skills - Supporting talent growth and the development of skills – via the design and delivery of thought leadership and a
learning and development framework with related L&D offerings, partnering with the CII, third parties and the
market.
