SCAP and ECF Claims Best Practice Online Training
Further to the recent masterclasses, we are pleased to advise that the interactive online training is now available. This online training follows a similar format to the masterclasses held in January and February and to make them as interactive as possible, they have been designed in a scenario-based format that is thought provoking for the user. This may be of particular interest to those who were unable to attend the masterclasses earlier this year, but those who did attend will also find this a beneficial supplement to their learning.
Online Training
There are two online training modules available:
Single Claims Agreement Party (SCAP) – this provides an overview of the operational process, which is supported by the Clause guidelines. Please note that this training is not intended to replace the SCAP guidelines, which should still be reviewed in detail. Included in this training are some claim scenarios explaining what each role would be required to do if the claim is handled under the SCAP arrangement.
ECF Claims Best Practice – this explains the responsibilities of each party and the impact certain actions have on the other parties in the claims process. The purpose of this training is to help claims practitioners better understand best practice and the behaviours that need to change in order to drive improvements in the London market, and ultimately have a positive impact on the clients’ experience.
It should be noted that Lloyd’s mandates the above training for all claims adjusters handling Lloyd’s market claims and requests that all Heads of Claims monitor internally the completion for their teams.
Format
There are two options for undertaking the training:
-
By individual licence: this will enable the user/company to track the completion of the training as well as providing the ability for the user to stop and start the training easily by returning to the last page they were reviewing.
To apply for a free licence individually, or for your team/company, please complete the the online form (please note, there are a limited number of licences available and will be issued on a first come first served basis)
OR
-
ECF Info website: the training is being hosted on the ECF Info website (www.ecfinfo.com/training) but will not provide any user specific reporting of completion or memory of the last page being reviewed. The modules will be available on this site week commencing 23 April 2018.
