Alex Powell

	Alex Powell Chief Executive Officer, AEGIS LMA Board Member Alex is Chief Executive Officer at AEGIS London, taking up the position in July 2022. Alex joined AEGIS London in 2000, underwriting property business before taking responsibility for the Property and Terrorism accounts. He became Chief Underwriting Officer in 2015, delivering the underwriting business plan and playing an integral part in achieving and maintaining the Syndicate’s top quartile performance in the Lloyd’s market. Alex began his insurance career more than 25 years ago, when after four years in broking, he became an underwriter. He has been a member and past chair of the Lloyd’s Market Association Worldwide Property Panel and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance.
