Four new members elected to LMA Claims Committee

Following a ballot of managing agents’ heads of claims, Tony Rai of Hiscox, Simon White of Apollo, Sharon Long of Catlin and Ashley Lawrence of Argo have all been elected to the Lloyd’s Market Association Claims Committee (LMACC) for a two year term starting from 31 January 2015.

The main focus of the committee is to provide:

  • strategic direction and vision for claims in the Lloyd’s market
  • ownership and sponsorship of individual projects and workstreams
  • market input to ensure that the Franchise arrangements enhance Lloyd’s claims handling effectiveness.

The LMACC also takes the lead in the professional development of the claims community and works in partnership with brokers and claims service providers to deliver quality claims services from the Lloyd’s market.

Robert Gregg, head of claims for the Lloyd’s Market Association, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Tony, Simon, Sharon and Ashley to the committee. I would like to thank all of those who offered themselves for election and their willingness to participate in the LMACC. We believe the committee offers a good representation of the market and that together we can help in continuing to develop and deliver the highest levels of service.”
