Wordings Trainee Scheme

The LMA's Wordings Trainee Scheme is designed to produce qualified and technically trained solicitors for the London insurance market.

The Scheme supports the LMA's commitment to enhancing the technical ability, success and training of LMA members and the market more widely.

The Scheme will boost the market's wordings, legal and regulatory expertise, which is in high demand, to enable the market to navigate legal and regulatory change and continue to improve its products to match customer needs.

The Scheme lasts for two years and provides graduates who have completed their LPC/SQE with exposure to claims, wordings and underwriting as well as legal and regulatory matters relevant to insurance.  It will ultimately result in successful candidates becoming qualified solicitors.

The Scheme consists of technical training modules aimed at serving the needs of the London insurance market in putting together its wordings, on the job experience and placements with managing agencies.

How to join the Scheme

The LMA takes on new trainees on an annual basis.
