LMA announces Dormer as Head of Underwriting Strategy

The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has announced the appointment of Guy Dormer to the recently-created role of Head of Underwriting Strategy, effective 01 November.

Dormer brings considerable strategic and corporate development experience in the global P&C insurance market to the LMA. He joins from Starstone Insurance Group where he served most recently as Group Head of Corporate Development. Prior to this, Guy was Corporate Development and Strategy Manager for Hiscox, leading all M&A and corporate development activities for the group.  

LMA Underwriting Director Patrick Davison said: “I am delighted to welcome Guy to the LMA to lead the charge on strategic underwriting projects, such as the move to principles-based regulation and the implementation of the new LIC operating model. 

“Guy’s exceptional abilities are ideally suited to supporting the market with significant projects such as this and wider efforts to continually improve underwriting expertise within the Lloyd’s market”.
