Anyone with an interest in marine cargo business. This forum is open to full LMA and IUA members only.

DESCRIPTION

This is an invitation to attend the first Joint Cargo Committee (JCC) Forum of the year, which will take place on Wednesday 24 April 2024 in the Lloyd's Old Library.

The forum will offer an overview of the geopolitical challenges impacting the cargo sector, with a briefing by S&P Global Market Intelligence. The briefing will be followed by an update from JCC Members on the work of the Committee in Q1 2024.

Agenda

Analysts from the team at S&P Global Market Intelligence will provide expert commentary on:

  • the risks of the Israel-Hamas war expanding to Lebanon and the outlook for Red Sea shipping 
  • drivers of renewed piracy in Somalia and the outlook for risks in the Indian Ocean
  • the outlook for Black Sea shipping and protest risks to ground cargo on the Ukraine-EU border.

A Q&A session will follow the forum.
