New ECF website launched today

A new Electronic Claim File (ECF) website, designed to be the London insurance market’s one-stop shop for information on all things ECF, has been launched today.

Developed as a result of feedback from the market’s ECF User Group calling for improved communication, the new site can be found at

The site is easily accessible, does not require a password and is full of valuable information on what’s happening in the ECF programme. It provides information on system stability in real time, frequently asked questions and System Process and Procedures (SP&P). Technical documents are available to download, as is a facility for users to submit change requests.

ECF is a market-wide initiative which began in 2004 to improve the processing and management of claims by moving from a paper-based to an electronic-based system.
