Expert opinion and sound supporting evidence indicates that businesses have much to gain from embracing inclusive workplace principles.

Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) asks businesses to assess their workplace practice against a checklist of best practice. By analysing the demography of their workforce and by asking their employees questions about what it’s like to work for the company, firms will understand where they are on the D&I scale. 

Often there is a need for change and to implement new practices. The degree of change varies. However, people often naturally resist change and will question the business case, especially if their businesses are operating fairly successfully. So why should businesses consider engaging or accelerating their D&I activities?
