Underwriters, claims handlers and brokers with an interest in US E&O and financial crime markets.
This masterclass will discuss important differences in the laws of various US States, primarily concerning E&O business, relating to:
- the duty to defend
- insurability of punitive damages
- misrepresentations in the policy application.
The presentation will include details of some noteworthy issues that are currently impacting the fidelity/commercial crime market, including scenarios about social engineering, fraudulent impersonation and computer fraud. It will also highlight jurisdictional considerations from the different perspectives of underwriters, claims handlers and brokers.
