AUDIENCE

Anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of the foundations of a binding authority and how to handle binder claims on a day-to-day basis.

ABOUT

This interactive session will be led by members of the BASCG/BDAWG, Mike Barry, Head of Claims Global Property and Delegated Authority, Brit Global Speciality and Ben Kelly, Claims Manager, Ed Broking, as well as TPA representation from Steve Jones, Assistant Vice President, Vanguard Claims Administration.

This presentation is aimed at those with 0-5 years’ experience in claims with an interest in gaining a better understanding of the foundations of a binding authority and how to handle binder claims on a day-to-day basis.

The event will provide:

  • an overview of how binding authorities work (including technical claims handling tips)
  • an explanation of each party’s role in the handling of a binder claim
  • do’s and don’ts
  • bad faith – US litigation
  • CAT Response
  • real life day-to-day scenarios led by the panel.

Vanguard Claims will also be holding a drinks reception for all delegates as a networking opportunity from 17.30 - Location TBC.

Attendance will be on a first-come first-served basis. We may restrict places to two per managing agent/broker, depending on demand.
