The California Claims Settlement Practice Regulations

The next California Claims handling Seminar will take place on Monday, 11th October 2010 in the Lloyd’s Old Library, to which all managing agents and brokers are invited. The session will start at 10.00am and will run for one and a quarter hours. Dean Herman and Catherine Rivard of Mendes & Mount’s Californian office will be presenting legal updates on good faith California Claims handling. In addition to the presentation, Dean and Catherine will discuss proven strategies for good faith claim handling, and practical information about defending bad faith claims.

The California Claims Settlement Practice Regulations apply to all insurance practitioners, whether doing business on an admitted, non-admitted or surplus lines basis. Attendance is important to review the current regulations and learn about new changes. Certification will be provided at the end of the event to all those who attend.

If you wish to attend please e-mail Jane White at jane.white@lmalloyds.com no later than Wednesday 29th September.  The e-mail should include your name, employer, e-mail address and whether you require a Lloyd’s pass. Attendance will be on a first come first served basis.

If you have any general queries, please contact the undersigned in the first instance.
