LMA appoints Director, Market Operations

The LMA is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Payne as Director, Market Operations.

Tom’s immediate areas of attention will be the Target Operating Model (TOM) activity including Placing Platform Limited (PPL) the Central Services Refresh Programme (CSRP) and Delegated Authorities.
 
Additional focus will be on the continued evolution of market processes, the provision of oversight of the bureau services contracts through existing governance and the LMA’s PMG (Professional Management Group) on behalf of managing agents, and representing the views of the LMA and its members in market modernisation activity generally. 

Commenting on Tom’s appointment, David Gittings, Chief Executive of LMA said “I am delighted to welcome Tom to the LMA.  He will be bringing with him years of experience and understanding of the market's operational and technology requirements and will play a key role in driving the market modernisation agenda.”
 
Prior to joining the LMA Tom held a number of senior technology and operations positions within the market, including Head of Operational Change at R J Kiln and most recently, Group IT Director at Minova Insurance Holdings, the owners of BMS Group and Pioneer Underwriters.  

Tom takes up this role from 22 June, replacing Rob Gillies who retired earlier this year.
