Market Reform and IT Appointments at LMA
I am pleased to announce the appointment of two new LMA staff aimed at reinforcing our support to, and leadership of, London market reform.
Peter Holdstock and Peter Griggs both joined the LMA on Monday 11 June. Peter Holdstock, Consultant, will lead the LMA’s electronic placing (e-placing) project, which forms a major part of the market reform focus. Peter Griggs, Head of IT, will manage the delivery and maintenance of the LMA’s IT systems and will provide support to our market reform work on electronic claims (ECF), accounting and settlement (A&S) and e-placing.
Peter Holdstock joins the LMA from Beazley, where he was ETrading Project Manager responsible for development and implementation of the electronic gateway and data standards. Prior to this, Peter held IT positions at Kinnect, Rebus (Xchanging) and CSC. Peter will apply his project management and insurance business knowledge to leading the LMA’s e-placing initiative, which is wide in scope and one part of which (peer-to-peer) was recently handed over to the LMA from the G6 group of Managing Agents. Peter will create awareness of the opportunities and benefits e-placing can provide to members, will manage the delivery of relevant information and will assist members to assess their options through provision of an “e-placing benefits model”. Peter can be contacted on telephone number 020 7327 8383 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Peter Griggs has been appointed to manage the implementation of improved technology which will enhance the LMA's communications and interaction with members. However, he will also support the LMA's commitment to leading the market reform agenda by providing project management support for our work on ECF, A&S and e-placing.
Peter joins the LMA with over 25 years experience of London market IT systems including management positions at AIG Europe (UK) Limited. He joins from AEGIS Managing Agency Limited where he spent four years as Project and Programme Manager working on various initiatives including an IT infrastructure upgrade, document management and workflow, business continuity planning, underwriting system enhancements, catastrophe modelling, GAAP accounting and the ECF and A&S initiatives.
Peter can be contacted on telephone number 020 7327 8380 or at email@example.com.
