ABOUT

The Lloyd’s bloodstock community would like to invite you to attend the annual Nick Mills' Memorial Lecture.

This year’s speaker is Dr Frederic Barrelet. Fred joined Rossdales in 1991 and became a partner in 1997. Upon qualification from the University of Berne, Switzerland in 1985 he was appointed as resident veterinary surgeon to the Swiss National Stud (sport and draft horses), then assistant in internal medicine and reproduction at the Equine Hospital of the University of Berne followed by working in private equine practice. His main fields of interest are equine reproduction, rearing of youngstock, advising purchasers at bloodstock auctions and private sales, as well as acting as a consultant to bloodstock insurers.

Fred will speak on 'Advances and Evolving Risks in Veterinary Stud Farm Practice'.

Following the lecture, a buffet lunch will be provided from 13.15 in the area outside the Lloyd's Old Library.

Nick Mills (M.A.(Cantab),Vet.M.B., M.R.C.V.S.) was a longstanding friend to the insurance market, particularly underwriters and brokers in Lloyd’s, and his help and assistance was greatly appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you on 25 January at this lecture in his memory.
