Write-Back – Update – On-boarding Block Lifted!

For most of 2018 Write-Back on-boarding has been on hold due to a number of performance issues affecting Write-Back that were in part caused by the instability of the IMR application and the underlying infrastructure. We are pleased to announce that the block has been lifted!

Part of the performance review to determine if the block could be lifted was a ‘drains up’ of the infrastructure that supports Write-Back. It was identified through that review that there are a number infrastructure upgrades that are required (alongside the IMR Re-platforming) to ensure the Write-Back service returned to the level that it was built and performing to for the first 2.5 years of service. Attached below is an overview of the performance testing completed to determine service scalability as well as an update on the remediation activities.

The block may have seemed constraining to the market but with 16 carriers wishing to adopt Write-Back in 2018 it is critical that robust plans and controls are in place to protect service and ensure a successful go-live for new carriers.

Based on the outcome of the performance testing on service scalability and the commitments to deliver the required remediation, the markets Write-Back Steering Group have confirmed that those carriers that have passed MAT and have firm plans to go live now have the green light to progress.

The on-boarding and central support for Write-Back will now be extended to Q1 2019, which allows those carriers that have been given approval to progress to take advantage of central project expertise, test resource and the related funding. For all other carriers wishing to on-board, a discussion will need to be arrange to determine requirements for support and test resource which will come as an additional cost. Attached below is the new Write-Back Onboarding Plan for 2018/19.

32 carriers are currently live via a total of 8 software providers. Eight carriers will be supported in their bid to go live until end of Q1 2019 with a further 9 carriers having registered their interest and progressing in to development.
