Rob Gillies was appointed Head of Market Processes at the
Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) in February 2007, following three
years as Head of Communications. He joined the Non Marine
Association (NMA) in March 1998 as technical executive and helped steer
the NMA towards the merger with five other trade associations in 2001 to
form the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA). He managed the
LMA's non-marine activities during this transitional
period.
As Head of Market Processes at the LMA, Rob is primarily responsible
for managing the LMA’s contribution to market modernisation work
across the market.
Prior to joining the NMA, Rob worked at a number of Lloyd’s
Broking firms dealing with a broad cross-section of non-marine classes
of business. He held the position of Technical Director at
Inbro Citygate.
Rob holds a degree of Master of Business Administration from Henley
Management College. He is a member of the Institute of
Management and enjoys skiing, cycling and other outdoor pursuits in his
spare time. He lives in Kent.
